Forest bathing, also known as “Shinrin-yoku”, is the act of “taking in the forest atmosphere” or “forest bathing”. Forest bathing has been part of holistic preventive healthcare in Japan for many years, having been scientifically proven that spending time in a forest has a significant positive effect on the human immune system and relieves symptoms of stress and burnout.

Mindfully spending time in the forests of the North Shore forest bathing has a calming and restorative effect on the body and soul. When walking through our forests use all of your senses – sight, sound, smell, touch (and taste if you bring a local snack!) to explore. The sensory discovery tour will soothe, revitalize, and help you find peace, minutes away from your city home or hotel room.
